Cheryl Michel is one of Indian River County’s gems in the real estate space. Akin to the quaint seaside town in which she works, she shares the same understated elegance and the simple joys of such beautiful surroundings. Cheryl tells how she shoveled her last snow after the Blizzard of ’78 in Pennsylvania and moved to Vero Beach to join her family and never looked back.
She began her career in Vero Beach in 1979 as a legal assistant and then paralegal, doing real estate work and facilitating closings, working side-by-side with prominent Indian River County attorneys. Years spent working with Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in the UK, and as a residential and commercial property manager back home in Vero have added a breadth of knowledge and expertise to her 21+ years as a Real Estate Agent. Cheryl has a deep understanding of markets and marketing and of acquisitions and dispositions of residential, investment, and commercial properties. Complex transactions, contract knowledge and navigation, probate proceedings, 1031 exchanges, and investment analysis are all in her wheelhouse. Cheryl holds her Accredited Buyers Representative designation, Transnational Referral Certification, and is a Graduate of the Realtors® Institute, an extensive and intensive credential. She also holds her Brokers license and revels in being a lifelong learner, with experience being the greatest teacher of all.
Outside of the real estate space, Cheryl is passionate about serving the community that she loves. After serving on the Board of Treasure Coast Community Health for 7 years, and being nominated for recognition to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, she joined forces with local like-minded businesswomen at Impact100, providing annual grants to area non-profits.
